BMW
Top ten most beautiful BMW models of all time

Of course, as a die-hard BMW enthusiast, I have a list of the most appealing BMW vehicles. My choice for these models is shown in the rating below. Traditionally, M versions are almost similar to standard models with the exception of special wheels, pipes, and wider intake vents. I don’t distinguish the M models from the rest of the series, but I always prefer M models over normal ones. Recent M models, including even M Performance models, have grown more distinct than previously.
E52 Z8

Z8 is my top choice. It was intended to be a limited collectors’ edition in honor to the renowned 507 model. Furthermore, the Z8 was a M model without the M label since it had the same S62 engine as the E39 M5. It was not the quickest or sharpest supercar of its day, but it was the one that best blended speed with aesthetics. Both the external and interior designs are still excellent today. I’d want to see a successor to such a magnificent roadster, but I also want it to stay a one-of-a-kind legend of all time.
The G15 8-Series
After the Z8, the new 8-Series is my favorite BMW. BMW now refers to the premium series — specifically the 7, 8, and X7 — as THE 7, THE 8, and THE X7. This distinguishes the high-end design. According to BMW, the 8-Series is designed with M standards as a premium GT, thus it should be both aggressive and comfortable. The 8-Series’ sole flaw is the use of faux plastic vents in the bumpers.
Z3 E36/8 Coupe
The Z3 Coupe should be the world’s smallest shooting brake. It’s difficult to picture a shooting brake type looking that tight and slim inside a 4-meter length. The star-spoke M alloy wheel on the M Coupe is also one of the most elegant designs in BMW history. Furthermore, the S54 engine from the E46 M3 was used in the final M Coupe. As a result, the Z3 M Coupe was the greatest full-packaged little sports vehicle at the time, if not all time. (Forget the M2, it’s just too huge and hefty in comparison to the Z3.)

Sedan G30 5-Series
Because of my early experience with an E34, I am a great lover of the 5-Series sedan. The 5-Series is the ideal size for all applications, with steady yet dynamic handling. The G30 5-Series maintains the proportions of previous models, and its design mixes historical aspects like the L-shaped tail light and the crisp shoulder line with current designs. My main concern with the 5-Series is that it keeps growing bigger each time, and the current one is very close to being too big for me.

G29 Z4
The new Z4 is designed in the same style as the new 8-Series, giving it the appearance of a baby-8. According to BMW, the new Z4 was designed from the start to be a roadster with the body rigidity of a coupe. Furthermore, a test at the Nürburgring Nordschleife revealed that the Z4 M40i is quicker than the M2. Given the output number (340ps in this case, 382ps in the non-EU version), the Z4 M40i performed well (see the video below). Finally, the Z4 should be the brand’s most gorgeous fun vehicle right now. Is the 8-Series too big for you? Is M2 too bulky? Then grab yourself a Z4!
6-Series Gran Coupe F06
The F06/F12/F13 6-Series were luxury GT masterpieces, and the Gran Coupe was even better. The enlarged rear seat window and the expanded wheelbase provided the first-ever BMW 4-door coupe the proper proportion. However, don’t expect much from the back seat. The two back doors were mainly decoration for the eyes.
5-Series E39 sedan

Prior to the G30, the E39 was widely considered as the greatest 5-Series. It was recognized for its agility, something the previous E34 and later E60 lacked. My father previously had an E34 520i and has driven the E39 520i on few occasions. He said that the E39 was more nimble but less stable in handling. The E39 M5 may not be insanely quick, but many consider it to be the finest sports sedan of all time. My favorite design is the M alloy wheel on the E39 M5.
The E39 M5 was featured in the short film “The Hire — Star,” starring Clive Owen and Madonna. This film series is arguably the finest film production in the car industry’s history, and this episode is without a doubt the best.
E46 3-Series sedans, tours, coupes, and convertibles

This is my sole selection that contains all of the body types in a series. The E46 sedan, touring, coupe, and convertible were all in excellent condition and had the best dimensions of a FR premium small vehicle. The older E36 would be too small, whereas the later E90 would be too large. Furthermore, with its lightweight design and 360ps S54 3.2L R6, the E46 M3 CSL is arguably the greatest M3 ever. The E46 also had the last R6 320i 2.2, which is possibly the greatest entry-level 6-cylinder small car ever built. (By the way, the engine of the E90 320i was carried over from the E46 318i 2.0.)
7-Series E38
The E38 7-Series was most recognized for its appearance in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Furthermore, it was regarded as an exceptionally sporty full-size sedan. Back in the 1990s, the E38 absolutely crushed the ridiculously enormous W140 S-Class. As a result, Mercedes-Benz had to reduce the size of the S-Class in the later W220 generation. The V8 740i was the most recognized model at the time, despite the fact that BMW’s V8 has shown to be unstable. The 728i with an M52 engine is the best used purchase option. Unlike the troublesome M60/M62 V8, the M52/M54 is one of the most dependable 6-cylinder engines ever.

10-Series E24
The acute front lid angle of the “shark nose” BMW vehicles is long gone, and the E24 6-Series remains the one to remember. The E24 was built in the old-school boxy coupe form, with a menacing front appearance. The top-of-the-line M635CSi was powered by M1’s legendary M88 3.5L R6 engine. It was the E28 M5’s younger brother and the first two-door M model.

So that concludes my list. Because I am much younger than the brand, I did not have much experience with the models prior to “Neue Klasse,” such as the 328, 501, and 507. That doesn’t mean they weren’t talented at the time. I’m simply more connected to the era I live in.
BMW’s golden period was defined by the E46, E39, and E38 models. They are not only gorgeous, but they are also well-known for their dependability. This era’s models are all the appropriate size, and their R6 engines represent the pinnacle of NA engine history. They are now in great demand, particularly the R6 models. One in good shape will not be left at the dealer for long before someone drives it home.
