Marvel Studios’ previous actor contracts practically committed an actor to the MCU for a decade, since Marvel had choices for sequels, cameos, prequels, TV appearances, and so on. However, when the MCU shifts its attention to a new group of heroes, performers such as Brie Larson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Simu Liu, and Oscar Isaac are subject to new contract terms. They are not bound by contracts that give Marvel Studios the authority to demand that they participate in any of the forthcoming MCU films or television series. Instead, Marvel is concentrating on shorter contracts. Because Oscar Isaac’s MCU deal only included Moon Knight Season 1, Marvel Studios will have to renegotiate with him if they want to produce a second season, a movie, or have Moon Knight participate in another project.
