Aside from its own 50 Jahre special models of the M3 and M4, BMW Singapore planned a gathering of M automobiles to commemorate the performance division’s half-century anniversary. A total of 55 vehicles arrived at Gillman Barracks to create the number “50” and so appropriately celebrate the occasion. The automobile formation set a new regional record for the “Largest Gathering of BMW M Cars in Singapore,” according to the Singapore Book of Records.
With 55 automobiles congregating at the same location, the previous record set in February 2019 was exceeded by 14 vehicles. More than 100 BMW M owners and guests attended the event, which included vehicles ranging from coupes and sedans to crossovers and bigger SUVs.
Following the Isle of Man Green M3 Competition and the Sao Paulo Yellow M4 Competition, BMW Singapore will release further 50 Jahre special edition vehicles during 2022. Singapore-only offerings are planned, as well as a diverse range of Individual paints, a decal option, and an extensive portfolio of M Performance components.
Dakar Yellow, Macao Blue, Imola Red, and Frozen Marina Bay Blue will be available on certain models. Regardless of body color, these M vehicles will have a retro-style BMW Motorsport emblem at the front and back, as well as on the wheel center caps, as a tribute to the division’s early days in the 1970s.
Furthermore, BMW Singapore has prepared a slew of M Performance components for the complete range of sporty vehicles, from the M135i to the M8. Furthermore, the “first electric high-performance vehicle in the history of BMW M GmbH,” according to the automaker’s local office, is receiving the same treatment. The XM seems to be available with a plethora of add-ons from the start.
