Actress from Captain Marvel 2 Announces Pregnancy With Tom Hiddleston

While some Marvel fans want Emily Blunt to join John Krasinski’s Reed Richards to fill out the Fantastic Four roster, another MCU power duo is growing right in front of their eyes. Tom Hiddleston, the Loki actor and Marvel veteran, recently announced his engagement to The Marvels actress Zawe Ashton. The Marvel newbie is likely to play the major villain in Captain Marvel 2, however no specifics on who she will play have been revealed.

A significant change in the couple’s life has now happened…

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton Confirm Their Pregnancy

Tom Hiddeston and Zawe Ashton

Congratulations to Zawe Ashton of The Marvels and Tom Hiddleston of Loki. The MCU actors are expecting their first child together, as Ashton revealed in a picture session with Vogue documenting her preparation for the red carpet premiere of Mr. Malcom’s List in New York City earlier this year.

While no due date has been given, this will be Ashton and Hiddleston’s first child. They co-starred in the play Betrayal in London’s West End and on Broadway in 2019, with Daredevil actor Charlie Cox.

Both have planned projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Loki’s second season now in production and The Marvels slated to hit theaters in July 2023.

A Developing Marvel Family

Zawe Ashton and Tom Hiddleston had allegedly been dating since at least 2019 during their run in Betrayal, but did not announce their relationship until it was claimed they were engaged earlier this year, which Hiddleston subsequently confirmed in June.

Ashton and Hiddleston will be the first big Marvel Cinematic Universe actors to have a kid together. Hiddleston has portrayed Loki in the series since 2011, while Ashton will make her MCU debut in The Marvels next year. While her role in the Captain Marvel sequel is yet unknown, she is said to portray a villain.

With both stars in the MCU pipeline and the two becoming more vocal about their relationship, it’s feasible that fans could see them on a Marvel red carpet together in the near future. The MCU may someday become a family affair. Perhaps Hiddleston’s recent resurrection in the MCU with his Disney+ series will enable Loki and Ashton’s characters to cross paths in the future.

According to rumors, Ashton is portraying a gender-flipped version of a Kree commander from the comics. While this cosmic job may be far apart from Loki’s present temporal one, maybe the Marvel Studios creatives will find a delightful method for the two to cross over.

Several Marvel actors and filmmakers have cast their children in MCU films, most notably Joe Russo’s daughter Ava, who played Lila Barton in Avengers: Endgame and Hawkeye.
