Arrested: Actor in Marvel’s Thor Villain Movie Arrested for Child Sex Crimes

LAPD detectives say that Thor actor Joseph Gatt was arrested in Los Angeles last week after having “online sexually explicit communication” with a minor, KTLA News in Los Angeles said. He was arrested on April 6 after also having a warrant outside of California for the same thing.

Gatti played one of the bad Frost Giant warriors from Jotunheim in the 2011 movie Thor.

Also, Gatt is going to play a small role in the DCEU’s Black Adam, which will be released on October 21, 2022.

On top of his work with Marvel and DC, Gott has also done voiceover work for two Star Wars: The Old Republic video games.

What’s in store for Gatt?

In spite of all the good things that happen in the Marvel and DC movie universes, stories like this one are always bad to see in the news. There are already problems with Ezra Miller, who plays The Flash, and this story only adds to the disappointment for comic book movie fans.

As a Frost Giant in the MCU’s Thor movie, Gott only had a few minutes of screen time. Chris Hemsworth became the God of Thunder more than a decade ago. There is no word on how big of a role he will play in the new Black Adam movie. This puts both him and the movie in a very difficult situation.

As long as the charges against Gott are true, he won’t be working in Hollywood for a while. Sex crimes are a very big deal, and especially now that people are more aware of the issue. This is a problem that can’t be taken lightly.

While no judgment can be made until the situation is fully resolved, it will be in the news for a long time.

Love and Thunder, the next movie in the Thor series, will come out on July 8. Finally, on October 21, we’ll see Black Adam in a movie theater!
