Marvel Studios has witnessed a comeback in popularity since Phase 4 of the MCU started in January 2021, with the release of a dozen new movies in cinemas and on Disney+. This trend is expected to continue for the remainder of the year, with at least three new streaming projects and two more big-screen films from Marvel Studios under the Disney banner.
Even with so much revealed for this year, Marvel fans are continually looking forward, given how many times Marvel Studios has provided a scattering of fresh material through live fan events.
This has sometimes resulted from apparently random incidents, such as the one in 2014 in which Marvel revealed all of their intentions for the next Phase 3 films. At times, Marvel has adopted a more conventional approach at events like as San Diego Comic-Con and D23, which were both utilized in 2019 to tease everything from WandaVision to Blade.
Unfortunately, owing to the worldwide epidemic, Marvel has been unable to divulge what it has in store for followers who are always eager to discover more about the future.
Thankfully, that’s about to change, as Disney and Marvel have officially announced their next live fan event for this year.
Marvel’s Next Live Panel Has Been Announced
According to the official D23 website, Marvel Studios’ next onstage event will take place on Saturday, September 10 during the 2022 D23 conference in Anaheim, California. This will take place at 10:00 a.m. PST and will include a variety of filmmakers and celebrities, as well as a few “surprise guests” who will share fresh news and “exclusive video” with those in attendance:
“Onstage at 10 a.m., filmmakers, celebrity talent, and surprise guests will join officials from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, among others, to promote theatrical and Disney+ movies. Attendees will witness exclusive footage and be among the first to hear what more is in the works as they go behind the scenes of these studios’ highly anticipated films, specials, and series.”
Marvel Prepared to Reveal New Plans?
Marvel Studios hasn’t hosted a panel like this in front of a live audience since August 2019, when Spider-Man: Far From Home finished the Infinity Saga. Despite the studio’s enormous success since resuming the MCU in early 2021, a meeting like this has been long overdue, particularly given how much is still in store for 2022 and beyond.
This panel at D23 2022 will take place right in the midst of She-Disney+ Hulk’s run, possibly allowing just a few of fresh releases to debut before the year ends. However, what if…? Season 2 currently has no release date, but both Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special are in the works, and this event might indicate much more on the way.
The panel will also take place one day after Disney+ Day, which Marvel will most likely utilize to tease further streaming-specific announcements about what’s to come in the MCU over the next several years. This panel might concentrate on further theatrical announcements, or even how the movies and Disney+ series will function together, and Marvel has lots of possibilities for what it can present from that perspective.
