Become a member of Marvel Unlimited today so you can read more about these two great teams and their history together.
It was Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
A lot of people know about Wanda and Pietro Maximoff because they’re twins. The Scarlet Witch has the ability to change the world, as well as powerful magical abilities. It can also run at the speed of sound. The two of them had a hard childhood together. They were experimented on by the High Evolutionary and made to believe they were mutants. During that time, they became each other’s best friends and confidants. During this time, the question of whether Magneto was their real father came up. The two kept being there for each other, no matter what. In their early days, they were part of Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants. Later, they saw the error of their ways and joined the Avengers, which is what they did. Wanda would later go through some very difficult times, like when she made a bad reality with the goal of giving people what they wanted in the event HOUSE OF M. Even after, Pietro was still very supportive of his sister.
WICCAN AND SPEED
Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd are the twin sons of the Scarlet Witch and the Vision, and they are the same age. Because Vision is a made-up person, chaos magic was used to bring them into the world. Billy and Tommy were supposedly made by Wanda, who used her reality-warping powers and scattered fragments of Mephisto’s soul to make them, but they weren’t actually real. This is what Young Avengers (2005) #11 and other places say. Tragically, their souls would be taken back by Mephisto (via Master Pandemonium). However, they were reincarnated as real people and would go on to join the Young Avengers. Wiccan’s magical abilities are wide-ranging, like his mother’s. They can be unpredictable, but they usually come out of his hands in the form of electrokinetic energy. He can also fly, teleport, make things out of thin air, and more. He can also make things out of nothing. His uncle, Speed, can run very quickly. People’s brains also work faster than his does.
INVISIBLE WOMAN AND HUMAN TORCH
These two made their first appearance in FANTASTIC FOUR #1, which came out in 1961. Besides Mister Fantastic and The Thing, Sue Storm Richards and Johnny Storm make up half of the Fantastic Four, which also includes Ms. Richards and Mr. Fantastic. The brother/sister pair had a happy childhood until their mother died in a car accident. Their father, Dr. Franklin Storm, hasn’t been the same since. Following the death of Dr. Storm, the two went to live with their aunt. In space, Sue and Johnny were exposed to cosmic rays along with Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. Reed was trying to prove the scientific theories that he had been working on. When Sue was exposed, she learned how to make herself and others disappear, and how to make force fields. Johnny learned how to use plasma to start fires all over his body, making him a kind of human flamethrower.
FRANKLIN and VALERIA RICHARDS
They are the children of Sue and Reed Richards. Franklin and Valeria are Franklin’s younger sister. Valeria has had a rough time in her life. When Valeria was born in the Negative Zone, she started emitting deadly radiation right away and was thought to be dead. If Sue had married Dr. Doom, Franklin would have sent her back in time and sent her into an alternate universe. Eventually, she showed up in the main timeline in FANTASTIC FOUR (1998) #15, where she revealed her name and said that she was from the future. Valeria is a super-genius who can be invisible and project energy. She grew up to be Marvel Girl, a hero who saves people from danger. Franklin, on the other hand, is a powerful mutant who can change the world, find his mother when she’s hidden, and even make copies of himself.
GAMORA and NEBULA.
When it comes to cosmic siblings, these sisters are some of the best. It was Thanos who took Gamora in after her people, the Zen-Whoberis, were wiped out of the world. Nebula is supposed to be his granddaughter, but there is still a lot of confusion about her background. Both of them were raised by the Titan, who was crazy. This is sure to lead to a lot of fights between them as siblings. As children, both of the women were taught to kill. If you’re angry about being the less-liked sibling, you can use that anger to get you to fight and steal. Gamora has been called the “deadliest woman in the galaxy.” Nebula’s body parts are also made of metal, which gives her more strength and speed. Gamora and Nebula have had a lot of fights, but there is still something of a sisterly bond there. And they have been through a lot of scary things. In the movie INFINITY GAUNTLET (1991), Gamora didn’t exist when Thanos killed half the people in the universe. But when Nebula took the Gauntlet, her sister came back to life, and they both lived again.
CYCLOPS AND HAVOK
When Scott Summers was a child, he and his younger brother Alex Summers had a rough time of it. He first appeared in UNCANNY X-MEN (1963) #1, and Alex appeared in UNCANNY X-MEN (1963) #24. Their father, Christopher, was a major in the Air Force and a test pilot. At some point while they were flying back from vacation, they crashed into a Shi’ar imperial vessel. The plane caught fire. Their mother pushed them out so they could live. Scott had a very bad head injury and was taken away from his brother to be raised in an orphanage. Even though both boys were okay after the crash, Scott was taken away from his brother. Alex was adopted by the Blanding family, but Mister Sinister kept an eye on him. He kept his mutant powers under control and didn’t let them show up until later in life. Inventor’s son, Larry Trask, gave him the “Havok” moniker, and he has worn it since. Scott, on the other hand, grew up to become the hero Cyclops and join the X-Men, where he has had many adventures. As a result, during one of those adventures, Scott saved an animal that was in danger, and Alex went on to become one of the X-Men as Havok.
NATASHA ROMANOFF and YELENA BELOVA.
The two Black Widows haven’t always been on the same side, even though they are both called “Black Widows.” While they aren’t biological sisters, they were both raised and indoctrinated by the Red Room, and have a history that makes them a family that isn’t biological. That doesn’t mean they haven’t fought over the years. When Yelena came out of the Red Room, she was the first person to break some of Natasha’s records. As the Black Widow in BLACK WIDOW: PALE LITTLE SPIDER (2002), Yelena is given a task that puts her at odds with Natasha. It doesn’t end there. Natasha tells the younger assassin to find out what makes her unique and who she really is instead of simply following her leaders. It has been a long time since the two have worked together on teams and missions, most recently in Black Widow’s ongoing series.
SHANG-CHI and ESMIE.
If you want to talk about family drama, Shang-Chi and Esme have seen more of it than most people. Assassins were raised in the same home for both of these half-brothers. Esme, who was raised to be Sister Dagger, took on that role for the House of the Deadly Dagger and is now its leader. When Shang-Chi learned that his father was a killer in MARVEL SPECIAL EDITION (1971) #15, he broke away from his family and fled before he could carry out his father’s mission. As time went on, Shang-Chi would become a member of the Heroes for Hire as well as the Avengers. As his father’s successor, Shang-Chi was approached by Sister Dagger and Brother Sabre, who said he was the rightful successor. Of course, Shang-Chi was not interested. Esme and Shang-Chi didn’t get along at first, but after a lot of fights with their other siblings, she started to like him. Esme was able to live a normal life thanks to Shang-help. Chi’s She is now by her brother’s side after he took over the Five Weapons.
BLACK PANTHER and SHURI.
Shuri has one of the best relationship with T’Challa. For a long time, Wakandans have looked to the Black Panther, a warrior who was given powers by the Panther God Bast, as their guardian. He was raised to be the next King T’Chaka. As a young adult, T’Challa went around the world and went to some of the best universities. When he came back home, he took over as the Black Panther when he was there. Besides being an Avengers member, T’Challa is also a member of the group. Her name is Shuri. She also used to be Black Panther. T’Challa was put into a coma by Doctor Doom in BLACK PANTHER (2009) #1 and #2, but he woke up. Storm, who was married to T’Challa at the time, said that Shuri should be in charge. She ate the Heart-Shaped Herb as part of the process of becoming the Black Panther. The Panther God didn’t give her powers because he thought she was jealous of T’Challa. When Shuri wore the Black Panther suit and took on the name anyway, she saved both Wakanda and her brother. Because of her self-sacrifice, the Panther God finally gave her the powers of the Black Panther because of them.
Thor and Loki
It’s possible that these two are some of the best-known siblings in Marvel. Thor is the son of Odin, the All-Father of Asgard, and the royal All-Mother Freyja, who is also the All-Father of Asgard and Freyja. Loki is Odin’s brother. Loki is the son of Frost Giant King Laufey of Jotunheim, who was taken in by Odin when Laufey left him behind. Important to note is that they also have a sister, named Angela, who is also their mother. Thor and Loki: Original Sin #5.1-5.5 tells all about her in her own series and how she came to be, so read them if you want to know more. Thor was the favorite son when he was a child in Asgard. He was raised to be the next king. Because Loki was always thought of as a mischief-maker, he grew up to become the God of Mischief and the God of Lies. The two have fought a lot, but they still have a lot of love for each other. People show their true feelings for each other many times in LOKI: AGENT OF ASGARD (2014). The Marvel Universe has a lot of great brother and sister teams! And whether they’re fighting each other or working together, they’ve got a lot of interesting stories to tell, no matter what.

Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Where, Who, Why, and How
In the world of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy subfranchise, Gamora, played by Zoe Saldaña, was presumed dead after being thrown off a cliff on the planet Vormir in Avengers: Infinity War. However, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, she is back, albeit as an alternate version of herself. The rules of time travel in Avengers: Endgame created an alternate universe where an alternate version of Gamora still exists. This alternate version of Gamora, along with her sister Nebula, was kidnapped by Alternate Thanos and his loyal assassin daughters, and they followed the Avengers back to the main MCU timeline. Main Timeline Nebula killed her alternate self and convinced Alternate Gamora to fight for the good guys. Although Alternate Gamora is alive and well in the main timeline, she declines to join the Guardians as she has never met them or fallen in love with Star-Lord.

Gamora, played by Zoe Saldaña, is a pivotal character in the Guardians of the Galaxy subfranchise, but she was thought to be dead after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. So, how is Gamora alive in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? Let’s take a look at where she is, who she is, why she is alive, and how she is back.
Who is Gamora in the MCU?
Gamora, the deadliest woman in the galaxy, was introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. She was adopted by Thanos after he conquered her planet and killed 50% of its population. Gamora defected from Thanos’ forces and teamed up with the Guardians to keep the Kree general Ronan the Accuser from obtaining the Power Stone. She also encouraged her sister Nebula to defect from Thanos as well.
Where is Gamora in the main MCU timeline?
Technically, Gamora is dead. Thanos abducted her and threw her off a cliff on the planet Vormir, as the sacrifice required to obtain the Soul Stone during the events of Avengers: Infinity War.
Why is Gamora alive again?
Zoe Saldaña is under contract to play Gamora, and her character is an essential part of the Guardians of the Galaxy subfranchise. But in-universe, the rules of time travel in Avengers: Endgame created an alternate universe where an alternate version of Gamora still exists.
How is Gamora alive in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
During the time heist in Endgame, Nebula and War Machine traveled back in time to intercept the Power Stone before the Guardians, Kree, or Thanos obtained it. However, they created an alternate universe where an alternate version of Thanos became aware that there was a timeline in which he gathered all the Infinity Stones and snapped half of the universe dead, which caused the Avengers to time-travel to collect the Infinity Stones. After kidnapping the main timeline Nebula, Alternate Thanos and his loyal assassin daughters, Alternate Gamora and Nebula, followed them back to the main MCU timeline. Main Timeline Nebula killed her alternate self and convinced Alternate Gamora to fight for the good guys. After Iron Man sacrificed himself to snap away all of “Thanos’ forces,” Alternate Gamora remained in the main MCU timeline but declined to join up with the Guardians, having never met them or fallen in love with Star-Lord.
In conclusion, while we don’t know what that means for Alternate Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, we know she is in it.
It will be interesting to see how Alternate Gamora’s storyline unfolds in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Given her unique perspective and experiences, there are endless possibilities for where her character arc could go. Perhaps she will struggle to adapt to the new timeline, or maybe she will become a pivotal player in the battle against the villainous Adam Warlock.
Whatever the case may be, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the opportunity to see how Alternate Gamora fits into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the film set to be directed by James Gunn and featuring a star-studded cast, it is sure to be a thrilling and emotional ride for both longtime fans and newcomers to the franchise.
