Marvel Studios did not disappoint fans in Hall H by showing off forthcoming projects like as She-Hulk, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Aside from providing further information on already announced programs and films, Marvel CCO Kevin Feige revealed the next two phases after the current Phase 4. Phase 5 starts in early 2023 with Ant-Man: Quantumania and concludes in July 2024 with Thunderbolts.
Step 6, the last phase they discussed, foreshadowed the conclusion of the newly named Multiverse Saga with Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. However, there were still plenty of unfilled places in Phase 6.
Phase 6 is missing eight titles.
Kevin Feige presented the first significant components of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6 slate, including Fantastic Four, Avengers: Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Surprisingly, the sixth phase schedule, which runs from 2024 to 2025, allocated eight more days but left them unclaimed.
Fall 2024, Fall 2024, Winter 2024, Winter 2025, Spring 2025, Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and Summer 2025 are among the eight dates.
Predictions for MCU Phase 6
There are other projects that may occupy the vacant Phase 6 spots, but fans are likely to be familiar with a large number of them.
The Armor Wars
Don Cheadle’s Armor Wars was one project that had previously been revealed but was not discussed at SDCC.
Cheadle was confirmed at SDCC to have a part in Disney+’s Secret Invasion, which will premiere in 2023, implying that a progression toward his own series is imminent.
Shang-Chi No. 2
Simu Liu will undoubtedly reprise his role as Shang-Chi in the MCU after a well-reviewed and well-received origin film at the box office. The second film in this series seems to be a foregone conclusion before the fifth Avengers feature.
Season 2 of Ms. Marvel
Following her exploits in the galaxy in The Marvels, Kamala Khan seems to be a good fit for a second season of Ms. Marvel on Disney+.
Khan has a bright future in the MCU, particularly after his mutant status was exposed in the Season 1 finale. Before a probable Avengers appearance, another grounded, family-focused season seems fitting.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Normally, Sony Pictures follows its own rules, assigns a Spidey release date, and Marvel Studios must change appropriately. That is likely to happen again if they decide to create another Tom Holland Spider-Man picture, but maybe a new arrangement will help keep things more integrated and planned.
Stranger Things 3
In the Multiverse of Madness, Doctor Strange established a crucial story aspect for the future: intrusions. Incursions will most certainly play a significant part in the MCU, according to fans of the Secret Wars comic books.
Strange departs with Clea (Charlize Theron) in the post-credit sequence of Multiverse of Madness to repair an intrusion he created. A third Doctor Strange feature starring Clea, Wong, and Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous character may serve as a wonderful bridge between Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.
Other projects that may replace these holes include The Mutants or another X-Men series/film, Young Avengers, Hawkeye Season 2, Eternals 2, the already announced Ten Rings series, a Wakanda series, Thor 5, or Deadpool 3.
On November 8, 2024, Fantastic Four will kick up Phase 6.
