We’ve entered a comparatively rare gap in the MCU schedule with She-Hulk finished and Werewolf by Night’s popularity waning after Halloween
Yes, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is coming soon, and the most recent trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania serves as a timely reminder of this fact
In contrast, there won’t be any MCU multi-episode series on Disney in 2022
Let’s therefore use this chance to assess what will happen next. Disney’s MCU releases for the following two years are listed below
Season Two of “What If” – early 2023
All of these dates are tentative, so I should say that right away. Disney hasn’t demonstrated any reluctance to postpone unfinished projects
In fact, using She-Hulk as a recent example, Disney defied all requests to delay the project until 2023 because it met their standards for quality
These release dates thus align with iD Software’s philosophy. When it’s time, it will be ready
The project should be finished within three to four months with What If
.
? season two. To be honest, I’m surprised the series lasted this long
After all, one of the Season Two characters has already made an appearance in two Season One episodes
The person has already vanquished Infinity Gauntlet Ultron, but we were not given their backstory because that standalone story wasn’t yet ready
Thus, they must be fairly competent
One of the nine episodes in season two will apparently reference the Winter Soldier plot, according to Marvel. The Hydra Stomper will be revealed to be Steve Rogers this time, Captain Carter’s one true love
Spring 2023 — Secret Invasion
The most important item is listed here. A few days of internet disruption resulted from Disney’s recent release of the Secret Invasion trailer. Apparently for evil reasons, a Skrull has infiltrated Earth, according to a highlight. S. H, please. I. E
L
To prevent the Skrulls from completing their Secret Invasion, D
leader Nick Fury and his ally Maria Hill must once again work together
Collider, in image
The Khaleesi herself, Emilia Clarke, and multiple Oscar winner Olivia Colman are among the notable actors that Disney has cast for this project
This endeavor has been referred to by Marvel executives as the Disney series’ Avengers: Endgame
I’d compare it more to Captain America: Civil War because of the subject matter, but both are excellent Marvel stories
Seriously, if this trailer doesn’t make your heart race, we are very different types of people. Summer of 2023: Echo In the latter half of 2021, Echo and Clint Barton were facing off when we first met her
Echo already disapproved of the Avenger as a powerful member of a criminal gang
We later discovered, though, that she had additional motives for her resentment
Since Echo is a “daddy’s girl,” The Kingpin lied to her about her father’s passing. By the end of the series, Kingpin had been left (presumably) dead in the street after Echo had turned on him
However, we’ve since learned that Kingpin lived through this conflict
Despite being seriously hurt, he is still alive and harbors animosity toward Echo, who had once been to him like a daughter
They’re going to war, and next summer on Disney we’ll find out who wins
Second season of Loki: summer 2023
This week, a startling number of people, in my opinion, are rewatching season one of Loki
That’s because Kang the Conqueror’s dangers are highlighted in the newest Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania trailer. He Who Remains had ruled the multiverse and stopped other Kangs from doing terrible things, as we previously learned
Well, that guy is no longer there. In the meantime, Loki discovers himself transported to a parallel universe that might or might not contain a different Kang. Furthermore, a Sophie may also be present here
However, it might actually be an Alligator Loki
That is the problem with limitless options
Anyway, the story is expanded thanks to the season one cliffhanger, and some characters who might have mishandled Mobius can also make a comeback
The first season of Loki was excellent, and I can’t wait for more! Autumn 2023: Ironheart A new Iron person is expected to appear sometime in the coming year. But this person won’t be a plaything for a billionaire
No, that plot has been stale since the 1960s. Instead, teenagers in this new age honor superheroes by ripping off their gimmicks
A group of Stark scientists couldn’t solve this problem, but a super genius named Riri Williams will. She’ll construct an Iron Man suit in a cave, but not quite that
Riri will nonetheless accomplish what billions of dollars in research and development couldn’t. Through this, she will assume the role of a superheroine who can change the world
This empowering plot introduces an entirely new class of armor suit technology and ought to inspire hope for Tony or, at the very least, Morgan Stark’s eventual return! Fall 2023: X-Men 97
All other items on this list are fair game
There is only one I need: X-Men 1997. Give it to me by the shoots! I was a devoted fan of the 1990s animated series. I still don’t know how Fox Saturday mornings could have carried such excellent stories
The popular X-Men comics were agreed to be animated in their original form by some means. It was a startlingly adult serial on television that ended too soon
An inevitable dynamic of kid-friendly television was the cause of the demise of X-Men: The Animated Series. Children grow out of the target group
The next installment of the X-Men will pick up where the previous story left off, thanks to streaming and the idea of nostalgia programming. Recall that during that arc Professor X left his Mutant family to be with Lilandra, ostensibly for non-romantic reasons
picture of 20th Century Fox
In X-Men 97, it’s likely that the Professor will quickly be drawn back to Earth
More importantly, the creation team for X-Men 97 has (at least) two seasons’ worth of new stories to draw from, spanning 25 years! Coven of Chaos: Winter 2023–2024, by Agatha
Okay, good
Two picks, please
This is what I say because I jumped on the Kathryn Hahn bandwagon a long time ago
On a serious note, I attended the premiere of Afternoon Delight. Most likely, you’re not even familiar with that. Whatever the case, Hahn waited more than 20 years to land her one true role as the witch Agatha Harkness in WandaVision
Audiences fell in love with Harkness despite the fact that she held an entire town captive. People clamoured for her return after WandaVision ended
By giving Agatha her own tale, Marvel has gone above and beyond for these fans
Will the witch play the lead role here in a Cruella-like manner, or will she actually change since everyone wants to love her? The Agatha Harkness-hosted DCA Oogie Boogie Bash
Images: WDWNT. Cove of Chaos will undoubtedly bomb in the ratings, although the results won’t be known until the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024
It is essentially WandaVision’s sequel
Even better, Agatha Harkness has arguably been the most successful Disney-related MCU character to date. So far, it seems like a great combination
Spring and Summer of 2024 will feature Daredevil: Born Again. The Daredevil series reboot will consist of 18 episodes, which is why I say spring and summer
Born Again will run for four months, even if Disney airs them week after week without a break. Seasons only last for three months on the calendar
In 2024, there will therefore be a LOT of Daredevil
Importantly, the plot will connect to the earlier-mentioned series
Kingpin and (especially) Echo are characters that relate to the Daredevil rogues gallery. For Team Daredevil and possibly other Defenders, their impending war may have long-lasting effects
According to rumors, Born Again will feature some of the Netflix Marvel characters. A She-Hulk cameo doesn’t seem out of place, but I don’t want to raise your expectations
She might even get a story arc here, given how well-liked their relationship is
Spider-Man: First-Year Experience 2024 (TBD)
This is the one that still requires clarification
A Spider-Man animated series that chronicles Peter Parker’s awkward high school years has been confirmed by Marvel. I’ve already mentioned how uncannily similar the premise is to the Sean McKeever series Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane
Spider-Man: Sophomore Year has already been confirmed by Disney, demonstrating how much the company loves the idea
Dates are still unknown, but it seems like Marvel Animation is already at capacity. If not, season two of What If
? would have already occurred
We can therefore anticipate receiving Freshman Year sometime in 2024
Nothing in the MCU is ever set in stone, so be sure to check back with MarvelBlog for any additional updates on this project, as well as the others we’ve talked about today! Oh, and if all of this wasn’t enough, the following one-off is just around the corner:

Main Marvel Characters Who Use Magic as Their Main Power Source
In the Marvel Universe, there are a number of characters who utilize magic as their primary power source. From sorcerers and witches to gods and demons, these characters possess an array of magical abilities that make them some of the most powerful and fascinating beings in the Marvel Universe. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at some of the main Marvel characters who use magic as their main power source.
Doctor Strange

Doctor Stephen Strange, also known as the Sorcerer Supreme, is perhaps the most well-known and powerful magic user in the Marvel Universe. After suffering a severe injury to his hands that ended his career as a surgeon, Strange traveled to the Himalayas to seek out the Ancient One, a powerful sorcerer who taught him the ways of magic. Strange possesses a wide range of magical abilities, including the ability to cast spells, create magical shields, manipulate time and space, and even travel to other dimensions.
Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch)

Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, is a mutant with the ability to manipulate reality and cast spells. Her powers stem from a combination of her mutant abilities and her connection to the mystical energies of the universe. Scarlet Witch’s powers include reality warping, energy projection, and the ability to manipulate probability. She is also able to cast spells that can alter the physical world around her.
Loki

Loki, the God of Mischief, is a powerful magic user with a long and complicated history in the Marvel Universe. As a member of the Asgardian race, Loki possesses an array of magical abilities, including shape-shifting, illusion casting, and the ability to manipulate energy. He is also a master of manipulation and trickery, often using his wit and charm to get what he wants.
Brother Voodoo

Jericho Drumm, also known as Brother Voodoo, is a Haitian houngan (voodoo priest) who possesses an array of mystical powers. He is able to communicate with spirits and calls upon the powers of the Loa (spirits of Haitian Voodoo) to cast spells and perform feats of magic. Brother Voodoo is also a skilled fighter, often using his martial arts skills in conjunction with his magic to defeat his enemies.
Dormammu

Dormammu is a powerful interdimensional entity that rules over the Dark Dimension. He possesses vast magical powers, including the ability to manipulate reality and create illusions. Dormammu is also able to possess other beings and control them, and he has a vast army of demons at his disposal. He is a formidable foe to any hero who dares to cross his path.
Magik

Illyana Rasputin, also known as Magik, is a mutant with the ability to teleport through time and space. She is also a sorceress with the ability to cast spells and manipulate magical energies. Magik’s powers stem from her connection to the mystical realm of Limbo, which she rules over as its sorceress supreme. She is also skilled in combat, often using her sword and martial arts skills to defeat her enemies.
Baron Mordo

Karl Mordo, also known as Baron Mordo, is a powerful sorcerer and long-time enemy of Doctor Strange. Like Strange, Mordo was trained by the Ancient One in the ways of magic, but he chose to use his powers for evil. Mordo possesses a wide range of magical abilities, including the ability to manipulate energy and create illusions. He is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat and is a formidable adversary.
Hela

Hela’s black power magic is derived from her connection to the realm of Hel, the Norse underworld. It grants her immense power, allowing her to control the dead, summon spirits, and manipulate reality itself. Her powers are fueled by death and destruction, making her one of the most dangerous villains in the Marvel Universe.
In conclusion, Marvel comics and the MCU are filled with characters who use magic as their primary power source. From Doctor Strange, Wanda Maximoff, and Loki to lesser-known characters like Brother Voodoo and Magik, these characters bring a unique and fascinating element to the Marvel Universe. Magic allows for a variety of storytelling possibilities, from alternate dimensions to time travel to even bringing characters back from the dead. The use of magic also adds a sense of mystery and wonder to the Marvel Universe, with its own set of rules and limitations. As the MCU continues to expand and evolve, we can expect to see even more magical characters and stories in the future.

Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: Where, Who, Why, and How
In the world of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy subfranchise, Gamora, played by Zoe Saldaña, was presumed dead after being thrown off a cliff on the planet Vormir in Avengers: Infinity War. However, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, she is back, albeit as an alternate version of herself. The rules of time travel in Avengers: Endgame created an alternate universe where an alternate version of Gamora still exists. This alternate version of Gamora, along with her sister Nebula, was kidnapped by Alternate Thanos and his loyal assassin daughters, and they followed the Avengers back to the main MCU timeline. Main Timeline Nebula killed her alternate self and convinced Alternate Gamora to fight for the good guys. Although Alternate Gamora is alive and well in the main timeline, she declines to join the Guardians as she has never met them or fallen in love with Star-Lord.

Gamora, played by Zoe Saldaña, is a pivotal character in the Guardians of the Galaxy subfranchise, but she was thought to be dead after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. So, how is Gamora alive in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? Let’s take a look at where she is, who she is, why she is alive, and how she is back.
Who is Gamora in the MCU?
Gamora, the deadliest woman in the galaxy, was introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. She was adopted by Thanos after he conquered her planet and killed 50% of its population. Gamora defected from Thanos’ forces and teamed up with the Guardians to keep the Kree general Ronan the Accuser from obtaining the Power Stone. She also encouraged her sister Nebula to defect from Thanos as well.
Where is Gamora in the main MCU timeline?
Technically, Gamora is dead. Thanos abducted her and threw her off a cliff on the planet Vormir, as the sacrifice required to obtain the Soul Stone during the events of Avengers: Infinity War.
Why is Gamora alive again?
Zoe Saldaña is under contract to play Gamora, and her character is an essential part of the Guardians of the Galaxy subfranchise. But in-universe, the rules of time travel in Avengers: Endgame created an alternate universe where an alternate version of Gamora still exists.
How is Gamora alive in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
During the time heist in Endgame, Nebula and War Machine traveled back in time to intercept the Power Stone before the Guardians, Kree, or Thanos obtained it. However, they created an alternate universe where an alternate version of Thanos became aware that there was a timeline in which he gathered all the Infinity Stones and snapped half of the universe dead, which caused the Avengers to time-travel to collect the Infinity Stones. After kidnapping the main timeline Nebula, Alternate Thanos and his loyal assassin daughters, Alternate Gamora and Nebula, followed them back to the main MCU timeline. Main Timeline Nebula killed her alternate self and convinced Alternate Gamora to fight for the good guys. After Iron Man sacrificed himself to snap away all of “Thanos’ forces,” Alternate Gamora remained in the main MCU timeline but declined to join up with the Guardians, having never met them or fallen in love with Star-Lord.
In conclusion, while we don’t know what that means for Alternate Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, we know she is in it.
It will be interesting to see how Alternate Gamora’s storyline unfolds in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Given her unique perspective and experiences, there are endless possibilities for where her character arc could go. Perhaps she will struggle to adapt to the new timeline, or maybe she will become a pivotal player in the battle against the villainous Adam Warlock.
Whatever the case may be, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the opportunity to see how Alternate Gamora fits into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the film set to be directed by James Gunn and featuring a star-studded cast, it is sure to be a thrilling and emotional ride for both longtime fans and newcomers to the franchise.
