She started her career as a fashion model, posing for Dolce & Gabbana and Dior before transitioning to Italian films and then Hollywood and French films. She is often regarded as one of the world’s most attractive ladies.
Bellucci is arguably best known to American audiences for her portrayal as Persephone in the science-fiction blockbusters The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, both released in 2003. She also appeared as a Bride of Dracula in Francis Ford Coppola’s gothic romance film Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), as Malèna Scordia in the Italian-language romantic drama Malèna (2000), as Irréversible in the controversial Gaspar Noé arthouse horror film Irréversible (2002), and as Mary Magdalene in Mel Gibson’s biblical drama The Passion of the Christ (2004).
Bellucci, became the oldest Bond girl in the James Bond film series when she played Lucia Sciarra in Spectre (2015). In Australia’s Nekrotronic, she will play a Soul Sucking Queen of the Underworld.
